Have a great holiday break!

From The Principal

We hope you are having a great summer! School begins with a half-day on Tuesday, September 4.  Parents should also circle Tuesday, September 12 at 7:00 p.m. on their calendar. That evening, DeKeyser will host its Open House for parents.

Our Mission:
The DeKeyser community provides a safe, learning environment while encouraging academic and personal success through high expectations.

Our Theme:
DeKeyser Elementary School's theme is "Adventures never end!"

A note from the Principal...May 24, 2018

Dear DeKeyser families,

It's hard to believe we are turning the corner toward the end of the school year! The Parent Input Forms mentioned in the last What's Happening at the "D" are still available in the front office. They are due on June 1st. Because of planning for next year, late forms are not accepted.

If you know your child will not be returning to DeKeyser, that is also helpful to know for planing purposes.

Last Friday was our annual Spring Fling fundraiser. Dancing, silent auction, a basket raffle, and Oreos! It was a fun night! Check out the pictures in this newsletter. Thank you to the families and staff who supported our school at the Spring Fling. A special thank you to the businesses in the community who donated.

This is the final week for the 3rd, 4th, and 6th grade M-Step testing. The NWEA MAP testing window will continue until June 8th.

One last reminder, with the sun being out more, if you would like your child to have sun-screen on at recess, please apply in the morning before school. :)

With gratitude,

-Mary Beth Merlo
